Ardupilot VTOL FPV Aeroscout

The Aeroscout platform is very stable and there is plenty of internal room to add a flight controller and other components so it lends itself well to large modifications. I used this platform to experiment with tilt-rotor VTOL’s and to learn CAD skills.

Original Plane I was using for unassisted FPV with no OSD.
Matek F405 VTOL flight controller all wired up.

Original tilt rotors from a build on the ardupilot discourse. They did not work for my application.
Some landing gear I am working on.
Was having major overheating issues so I designed some air ducts around 30mm raspberry pi fans.
Went through 4 design iterations.
Here they are installed. No more overheating issues.

Ended up using more powerful robotics servos and designing and printing my own 3D printed parts to work for them.
